This series is about discovering places I have never seen or been to before. I have lived in Detroit, MI for the past 2 years of my life and barely know my way around away from Woodward Avenue. I wanted to to see what I haven't due to the stereotype that Detroit is a dangerous city. I decided one bright, sunny Saturday I would go out all on my own with my Diana camera and a few rolls of 100 ISO color negative film and experience the Detroit I have been sheltered from. These five images represent just a handful of what I discovered that day.
